  1. I spent a few days recently in Cambodia, and Pheara took me around for two days in the tuk tuk. We visited Angkor Wat and the other area temples, and also Tonle Sap lake and the floating village. More than a tuk tuk driver, Pheara is exceptionally knowledgeable about Khmer history, both ancient and modern. He helped me to understand the sites I saw and how they related into Cambodian history. He also is a genuinely very nice guy and pleasant to spend the day with. I highly recommend hiring him when you are in Siem Reap.

  2. We went to Siem Riep twice and we met Sopheara and used his service for a few days each time. He was very good at his work, drove carefully and also was very charming, polite with pretty good knowledge about Siem Riep.
It’s worth the money for tuk tuk as that’s the way you explore temples and the surroundings of the old town. I’d recommend him to my good friends and others coming to visit The Great Angkor.
Thank you so much for your help and hopefully see you next year for yet another great trip.

  3. We would heartily recommend! We spent two days with Sopheara and he helped us find the perfect spot for sunrise at Angkor Wat, as well as providing historical and archaeological insights that we didn’t get from other tuk tuk drivers. Definitely seek him out! Stephen and Rachel (England)

  4. Having travelled around the world many times including a handful of trips to Cambodia, I can honestly say that Sopheara is, without doubt, one of the friendliest, knowledgeable, informative and sincere drivers/tour guides I’ve ever had. It was such a pleasure to tour the Angkor temples, floating villages, country-side and culinary delights with someone who is genuinely committed to fulfilling and extending every one of my cultural and culinary expectations:). I highly recommend you seek out Sopheara’s services for all your travel requirements whilst in Siem Reap. I look forward to returning again to experience more of Cambodia using my friend’s services of which I’m so incredibly grateful for – a really great ambassador for his country. 7. “For the third year, running my collegaue and I brought a group of final year undergraduate students on a cultural study tour of Siem Reap. We wanted more than a simple tour with a guide – we wanted to introduce the group to Cambodian life, to let them get involved in a real way. You organized the trip for us, guided brilliantly around the temples and enabled the students to take part in everyday life in Cambodia – even joining in with Song Khran celebrations!
The trip was amazing … and its success is due to you. Thank you.”

  8. You’re so awesome! I do not believe I have read anything like this before. So good to find somebody with a few genuine thoughts on this subject. Seriously.. thanks for starting this up. This website is one thing that’s needed on the internet,
someone with a bit of originality!

  9. Dear Sopheara,

Linda and I want to once again thank you for providing us with such wonderful guide service during our stay in Siem Reap. You played a big role in helping make our visit to Cambodia a wonderful experience. Your knowledge of the various sites and locations we visited was impressive and helpful to us as we attempted to understand and appreciate the history, architecture, religious significance, and context of what we were seeing and experiencing. We particularly enjoyed the many personal stories and experiences you shared about yourself and family. This personal touch combined with your ever happy and friendly personality was an important bonus to our tour.

I appreciated the way in which you were so helpful to Linda as we climbed through and around the temple sites. Some of the places we went were very challenging in terms of negotiating heights, questionable stairs and walkways, and jumbled stones. You were always patient, helpful, and encouraging which helped make it possible to both Linda and I to see as much as we did safely.

  10. Hello-

    Thank you-

    Lyndsey
